all your pain,
thekingofpain, and quite truthfully before I was aware of your situation, I was quite puzzled at such a choice of monikers.
Pain is no stranger to me, after all four limbs' nerves and my spinal cord all have impingements on them, not to mention the tendons that hold the spine together.and make even sleep painful.
Still not much benifit in dwelling upon it.
There is an approach that utilizes the Gate Theory of Pain where pain the "pain channel' has a "limited capacity", much like an attentional resource.
By using transdermal electrical stimulation from a ciggerette box size gismo, the channel gets "pre-empted" to a degree of pain relief.
Other studies look at how the brain can be better stimulated to produce its own *endomorphs*, or endogenous opiates.
Don't know your circumstances, but ask you pain management doctor about it...... Err, I am aware you might already be using it--but at least somebody else will learn about it.
Really, nobody knows what pain "is", nor do we have an adequate vocabulary to describe it.
Santa Cruz CA, municipal Gov't gave out Marajuana while ago on the City Hall steps. Perhaps Northen CA, where it is widely grown in the country will become to pain sufferers what the desert was decades ago to TB patients.
And best wishes to anybody in pain.
I've learned to walk around it--but then, I also take the maximum legal dosage in NYS of codiene for starters.
