| Wish my folks would hurry up and get the hell out of that state. They been vacationing around different states for the last few weeks and will be moving around for another few weeks. talked to her yesterday and told them to high tail that place. they are 75 miles south of that right now, but hard telling what that bloke will do. |

Neo,
i understand your fear and this will sound cold and harsh butttt.
People really need not fear this fellar in general. The fact is they are still more likely to die from a stray meteor than by at the snipers hands. The media is not helping here. I would guess that the fear they are instilling is probably more harmful then the good it might be. I mean people are walking serpentine style and ducking while pumping gass.
I do not know what the population of the area covered by the sniper is but lets call it 11 million. That puts your odds of being shot at 1 in a million at this moment. You are still more likely to be killed by your spouse than by the sniper.
Fear not for your mom and dad. put it in perspective.
Now if you want them to move because DC sucks well there you have a point.

Well I just want mom and dad to enjoy whats left. Dad has had cancer for a few years and opted out of chemo he is a diabetic as well, he opted for a every 3 month shot to slow down the cancer. I just want them to enjoy their golden years travelling in style.
You do have a valid point. Just kind of shocked me to know they were in VA last night. Been there about 6 days now. I knew they were in Winsconisn before last night. I belive they are moving along else where soon to be back in Oregon for turkey day and chirstmas.

That would'a worried me too there Neo..
I just hope this don't spark some "copycat" morons to act.
What kind of sick sob would go around shooting just whoever he got a easy shot at ?
Hopefully someone with a handgun will witness this and take action.
I posess handguns.
Lots of people can shoot as good as me.
I could take him at 70 yards with a handgun, a bit less if moving.
A few years back a guy in Texas witnessed some X-husband shoot his wife.
Mr. Witness drew a scoped .44 Magnum and proceeded to save the public in general from "clear and present danger"
The police released the man after questloning him and witnesses.
Frontier Justice is warranted in cases such as this.
Much like the young man who fired on the police, he deserved what he got but much sooner.
Pity for the family of the enforcement officer who lost his life.
All the ballywhoing towards the police force is sad, who wants to risk their life for the Georga equilavent of $17,000 a year..
This sniper dude needs to be sniped himself.
He'll let his guard down sooner or later, hopefully the former.

We have to try and "Understand" the poor crazy fellow. He obviously must be insane, poor guy.
Hopefully he will see the error of his ways and stop this rampage and go on to live a fruitfull life. This poor guy is sooo misunderstood.

"He was an abused child"
"He's getting off on a technicality"
"If the glove won't fit, you must aquit"
If I hear any of those things, what little respect I have left in the "Justice system" will probably evaporate... |

Bah...insane my @$$ ...none of those technicalities will hold up in court in this instance. One life sentence for every person he killed, and throw in a few more for the wounded...or just fry him (why don't they do that anymore ...friggin lethal injection..eh)...or try out one of those fun Epidemic style death deals...

| I think there is only one instance of a person being hit by space debris in the US. It was man-made also.
I can understand peoples fears and discomfort. Death by sniper, while not likely to happen, is scary nonetheless. Regardless of the media hype. It is not a "familiar" way of dying like heart-attacks, smoking, or car accidents. Familiarty breeds contempt. Getting popped while pumping gas is not familiar at all.
