Kids Daylight Savings... is it still necessary?

Do you think daylight savings is still necessary?

With all the advances in farming and agricultural businesses, do you think the "hour gained" is still as important as it was when daylight savings time was first started?

Remember, not every state still practices it.

So, what do you think?

I like the "fall back" but really dread the "spring forward".

being a mechanic, I use a troublelight all day so it wouldn't matter to me.
I'll bet te farmers would differ in opinion though

I think it's necessary. It feels wierd wakingh up a 6:00 one day and it being pitch black outside, while 6 months later it's bright outside. daylight saviongs time helps that and gives me better sleep.

I LOVE daylight savings time!

I want to have my own clock adjusted for all the sunlight I can enjoy....at the end of this month (October) , we have to adjust the clock so that it gets dark at 5-freaking- O'-clock...

YUCCHHH!

During the Carter administration, he declared Daylight Savings Time "year 'round" due to the 'energy crisis'....

I LOVED IT!!

Plus, it was cheaper, too.

I don't mind getting up when it's dark - it's usually light by the time I leave home, but I really don't like to get off work at 5 and it be dark. Makes the night seem soooo long and dreary.

It's hard to get anything done outside...you can't (well I can't) get up and mow the yard before work when it's light out yet it's too dark to mow when I get home....loads the weekend up. That extra hour in the evening sure helped me.

I wish they would just choose one and leave it alone. It drives me nuts.
