Help with jobs here people :)

This is my last year in "high school" and i have two options: work for a year and go to university, or go to university straight away.

the thing is I've got like ZERO work experience other than farm labouring in the summer, and my UCAS form for applying to university is looking very sparse, so thats why i've considered a year out to work, and seeing as i'm hoping to do a Computer Science or a Computational Mathematics BSc it'd be handy if it was related to computers.

Can anyone give me any ideas on who to apply to, or where. It doesn't matter if its abroad, or in the UK, i just feel like i have to get something other than grades.

Wont it be tough going back to school after waiting a year? I am willing to bet statistically that the return rate of students that take a year off are quite low.

not at all, its very common here for students to take a year out (called a "gap year") before going to university.

What kind of work are you going to do? If you can get a job that pertains to the Degree you plan on getting then I would say work for a year and get some practical experience but if your going to end up working at McDonalds or something similar then I would say go back to school first.
