It has scortch marks around the core and thermal grease caked around the pads....something is fishy here. Sounds like a job for CSI!

May it rest in peace nonetheless.

Its obvious that this guy was beaten around a bit prior to its death.

Were the chips on the top edge the cause of death? Maybe it was suffocated with the grease?

There is an evil ritual called "overclocking" which can easily lead to death by internal combustion.

I think this cpu had one byte to many....

I keep getting my forums mixed up...no sig. here oops.
I actually run with water cooling and a homemade chiller... the diode is reporting -9 C as I type this.

I've seen a few references here now with regards to heating AMD's lol. That's where I was going with that, sorry.
