Sharder,
I'm sorry I mis-understood what you were trying to say...I took it as you trying to say that
I was unaware of what a combat pistol needs to be capable of.
Yes, I will agree that the movies have probably made Glock one of the most widely recognized handguns but I would still have to disagree with the majority of your statement.
The majority of the "untrained/uneducated" buyers will tend to lean on the advice of a friend and or the dealer. People that truly fall into the "unknowing" group and don't get input from a knowledgable friend will typically buy something cheaper than a Glock or at least thats how it seems here in Utah every time I walk into the sporting good stores. (not saying that All guns cheaper than the average Glock is of poor quality but truthfully when you drop below 400 bucks quality and reliablity are
usually lost)
Anyways...to get an end to the "Glock debate"

I will say this...99% of the time you get what you pay for...Buy a quality gun and you will get quality results out of it and if you dont get the reliablity out of the box 90% of the time the manufacturer will stand behind it and make it right and I can say that Glock is one of those manufacturers that stand behind their firearms.
