Well here's the only one I have left. It's a S&W .38 special, stainless with pachmayr grip and 2" barrel Model 64

GZ3, nope, the glocks are not wimpy by a long shot..
It has a lot of composite in it's construction, but the slide and barrel assembly are all steel(natch..)
I have put about 4 to 5 thousand rounds through mine(model 21 .45) and it still shoots as good as it did when I bought it new about 10 years ago. They handle abuse very well, I didn't clean mine for an entire year, just went to the range and shot it, and have never had it jam or stovepipe(partially eject spent case) on me.
They are not cheap either, I don't exactly know what the 21 is going for now, but last I looked, they were about 600 bucks retail.

I have a shiny Sig P228. Purely for collector's purposes. It's the only gun I own.

I will never carry or operate a loaded handgun by choice.

For the folks that live in more rural area's whats the purpose of carrying!?
This thread has me a bit concerned of how many folks that walk around me have guns. I'm hoping that all folks that 'carry' are well trained and don't have an itchy trigger finger?!

Mntsnow:

In search of the pics on TechImo, I stumbled on your deer pics (ladder) - must say that's a very different type of life than we have here in NYC. Completely different.

If I had $$$$ I'd move to Utah/Colorado in an instant for that sort of environment.

You shore are lucky.
