my question is, why did she even steal? i mean she is an actress for crying out loud
of course in most cases when people are caught stealing they do have the money to buy it.

Very funny excuse she gave. Seems she was shopping at Bloomingdales or Saks or some such store and bought $4,000 worth of merchandise. When they stopped her at the exit, she had like $3000 more clothes in the shopping bags. She told them that they had "mistakenly" been put in while she was putting the other stuff in.
Till they found the price tags cut with a scissors in the changing room she used to try the clothes.
And she's worth a coupleof million at least.
It's got nothing to do with whether you need/want the stuff or whether you have the money or not or the riskiness. It's a psychological disease. Just done for kicks. There's a term for it starting with a k but it escapes me.
(Dang this English language. Full of difficult words.)

Yes, kleptomania. One of my friends had this. Quite a shame. Worst part was he stole just LITTLE stuff, nothing big, since he was afraid he would get caught. Oh well, too late.
