Gaming What is up?

With all the bannings.

This is NOT ripping or questioning the Mods. In my opinion, they haven't changed.

But since I have been here, I haven't seen a rash like this at all. What, is it close to the holidays? Full moon? Something!

Like I stated earlier, I am not criticizing the mods. I still think they are doing a great job!

As a forum like this evolves, people form friendships/relationships beyond the forum. they start to communicate via phone/email/PM and even meeting.

Often, these "private" relationships are reflected on the forum and appear lopsided to everyone else as they have not been privy to what has transpired offline. Sometimes, a lot of issues get discussed and a small part of the discussion may surface in a thread. Since this causes confusion, members may be told not to thread crap or to discuss this in private.

I know this from personal experience and it's the way it is. Sometimes if a member does not accept Forum rules, he/she gets banned.

Who knows?

just as we members discuss lots of things/issues offline, so do the mods and they prolly take a collective decision to ban a member.

Which is OK since the membership here is not a right but a privelege.

That's what I and several members think.

And what a priveldge!

To be able to speak out and express your view, even when it is the un popular one. To be able to ask for very specific tech help and get it right away. To learn how others live and think and believe...

It has been a priveledge that has been like a godsend to me.

Not since my childhood have I had this sort offreedom to ask and listen to a diverse group of individuals. Since then all the 'diversity' I have encountered has been of the 'I am right' sort.

Thank you Scott, this site means more than you can know... IMO
