And just what incentive would M$ have to build a crash free OS?

Wouldn't this mean that building a OS that crashes regularly would be a better money maker?

Oh, yeah, thats what they do now... lol

Microsoft ran an ad a while back that showed a blue screen with a dotted line surrounding it and a siccors symbol beside it. In large text it reads "If you miss the down time, cut out and paste to monitor." It was an ad for Windows 2000 (before ME came out and the downtime returned)
