Porsche showed the first images of their upcoming Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) on the first day of the 2002 Geneva Motorshow. The car itself will be launched at the Paris motorshow later this year. Two engines have been confirmed for the Cayenne, both V8 one naturally aspirated with 340bhp and a twin turbo version with 450bhp. A six-speed Tiptronic S transmission is standard equipment on the Cayenne Turbo, and both Cayenne versions have permanent all-wheel drive, an inter-axle differential lock and additional low-range gears, and the Porsche Stability Management (PSM) system.
