Australia's best known motor race is 'Bathurst'
Celebrates 40th anniversary this year.

Happens tamorra our time.
Sunday morn 10 Am. 1000Kms.
Finish about 4/5 pm.

If you get a chance to catch a view on cable.
Do it.

Our race cars are 1350KG 400KW V8 Sedans.

Bathurst is a public road circuit.
[One of the few great left]
6.3Kms around.
Speeds to 290Kmh plus, down Conrod.

ummm, dta's pretty fast any way you read it..
Rusty, the Falcon XR8 looks KEWL!
Falcon there, is Taurus here, more or less, but seems you get more sporty models there than here.

I used to live 40k from Bathurst. Went to the race every year, ah they were good times.
Who do you think will win tomorrow rusty? The usual holden win? Or maybe a Ford upset?

Saw some of Bathurst coverage. Plastic bags won, I reckon.

Gotta feel for Seton and his crew - plastic bag prolly stuffed his car. And Ingall's mob ALMOST had the same fate - they managed to keep it running to cross the line.

Pretty variable weather there today - typical outback NSW.

Bali bombings look pretty grim. Lots of Aussie rules footy players in that club, celebrating end of season. Might be end of more than that for some of them.

Hope they catch the buggers that did it.

woo hoo! was at the final race of the regional series today,
had a good chat, and no, Stiil won't say who he's ridin for next year.. Very nice bloke, signed and took pics just about all day, and wandered about talking with folks..
