So I was watching "The Justice League" on Cartoon Network the other day and I've noticed some interesting things about the Flash. He's the fastest guy around right. And from the comics, if I remember right, when he was moving incredibly fast, to him it looked like he was just walkin around. So how does he get tripped up in the show??? How can his reflexes be that slow??

Another thing, if he is super fast, why does he not hit people super fast? If his arm was moving at his super speed, wouldn't it just punch a hole right through the guy? (if he didn't have super-man indestructable like powers)

These are things I've wondered

Plus, how the HECK does batman whoop on superman. Whats the deal with that?!?! (that of course was from the batman superman crossover from the cartoon).

let me test my physics here. keep in mind i'm very drunk right now, i just had 4 ounzes of canadian wiskey in 1 shot (mixed with lemon juice so i could stand it)

P = mv
P = 10kg x 300m/s (300m/s is pretty fast and 10kg arm is not a bad estimate)
P = 3000kgm/s

P = mv
P / m = v
3000kgm/s / 100kg = 30m/s

cool, if he punched a guy with a speed of 300m/s on his hand and a 10kg hand/arm (roughly 22lbs) he would send the badguy flying 30m/s assuming 100% elastic collission.

lets see if i can find energy somehow

Ek = (300)(10)^2
Ek = (300)(100)
Ek = 30000J

ok now um hmm.... listening to the good bad and ugly gets me side tracked eheheh

let me see the work done if the punk was against a brick wall and his stomache was caved in 25cm (0.25m)
if i remember correclty, the Ek should = the word so i'll just assume work = Ek
W = Fd
W/d = F
30000/0.25 = 120000N

now we know the force lets see the acceleration of the bad guy
F = ma
F/m = a
120000N/100kg = 1200m/s^2

that sound a bit unreasonable, maybe i just suck as physics lol. time for another drink

But just think of what the force of hitting said bad guy at said speed would do to Flash's hand, arm, shoulder, back... He has to slow down for a split second to hit the guy, then he speeds back up. Come on guys, you can think faster than this!!!
