well for one it does not get used enough.

it could be used when you are trying to help someone fix there computer.
(faster one on one communication.)

or just hanging out. i know some of you have your own room, and seem to still carry a grudge because you did not get a chat room when you asked.

Some of you may not realize it's even here.

All I'm asking is for you to check it out, try it out, it could be a great tool for helping people solve there problem without making them look like a complete ID10T in a thread.

Besides, you guys type W..............A.............Y too slow in the chatroom. I always get the feeling you guys are really doing something else and only stopping by your keyboards every few minutes to type a line.

Good point, Nunya. Whenever I have frequented the chatroom, its been empty.

Why don't we put up a schedule convenient for most people (say between 7pm and 11pm) local times and try it out. Most times, when I want any specific assistance, I speak with the members on phone because its so much more convenient and easy. But a chat room is good because you interact with many people simultaneously and a good way to establish relationships.

I'm sure the Chat room has it's place but, for me it is asking too much.

I prefer forums 100% for two reasons:

1) The ability to just drop in and help when I have even two minutes to kill. Via chat I can not do that because it takes too long. Especially if they type sower than me.

2) AFAIK the chat doesn't have a written record that is searchable for everyone; therefore others can not use that knowledge to easily solve their similar problems

BTW, I hate Tech support phones calls for much of the reasons. With the added problem of being too intrusive and you can generally only help one person at a time that way.

Again, chat and even phone support have their place (just not with me).
