The RIAA is at it again

"The music industry goes to court Friday to try to force an Internet service provider to identify a subscriber accused of illegally trading copyrighted songs"


"Verizon general counsel Sarah Deutsch said a record industry victory would harm the privacy rights of Verizon subscribers and force Internet providers to give up the names of its customers without judicial review"

ya I remember hearing about this a bit ago, its just now getting into court. Everybody was cheering on Verizon for stranding up to the RIAA but in fact they're not, they're just living up to the policies they've set for their customers (which is indeed a good thing, and rare in todays world )
Hopefully the RIAA will take a hit here, but we'll see :/
