I can't think - and I can't see straight - and it's 11:30 on a Saturday night.

ouch... sorry for you

Take a Q-tip and rub some Jack Daniels on it... then take a shot... i

If you can't handle that, take a Q-tip and dip in that little green bottle of camphophene and rub it on.

Some people have said to put an aspirin on it and let it dissolve but double yuck at the taste.

Don't forget heat sometimes helps....

whole cloves (the spice) have been known to help. stick a couple in your mouth near the sore tooth. (old home remedy)

Toothache

6. Stun the Pain with Cloves
Rub a drop of essential oil of clove directly on an aching tooth. If you don't have oil of clove handy (available at drug and health food stores), just wiggle a whole clove, pointed end down, next to the tooth.

7. Or Say "Open Sesame"
Sesame seeds contain at least seven pain-relieving compounds. Boil one part sesame seeds with three parts water until the liquid is reduced by half. Cool the resulting brew, and apply it directly to the aching tooth.

a couple I doubt will help.

Toothache; Rub a nail on your tooth and nail it into a tree.

Toothache; Suck a piece of white bread.

The dentist prolly didn't do the RC properly and left remnants of your nerve still in the tooth. He also didn't clean the root well and stuff left in the canal rotted and caused the nerve to inflame.

Only remedy is for him to open up the filling and re do the RC. Hope your tooth doesn't have curved canals- that really is tough to clean out.

As nunya says the clove oil works very well as do some pain killers. But go to the dentist fast.

I had a tooth tha twould hurt, and if I ate McDonalds it would quit, must have been the sesame seed buns

swish warm salt water around in your mouth will sometimes help.

A trip to the ER will get you a shot to relieve the pain, also result in a nice bill

is there any reason why you cant take anti-inflammatories (asprin/ibuprofen) like your on warfarin or clopidogrel? If not, your best bet is to take some ibuprofen (200mg OTC every 4-6 hours, with some milk or something to coat your stomach). you can also pick-up some ambesol at the drug store. look for the one that has 10% benzocaine. be careful about putting a q-tip too close to the sore, you will inflame the nerves and possibly push the infection into the dentin. cloveoil does have some mild numbing properties, but benzocaine (ambesol) works better and is far cheaper.

If it's way up high and not on the tooth it could be an infected sinus.I'd take ibuprofen like blackwatch said, but,I'd take more than 200mg-I'd take 600-800mg every 6 hrs.I had an abcess and that dosage was prescribed for me.
