Just had a good scare

I was sitting here on the computer and heard it raining. So I run around making sure the windows are closed. Well I get into my youngest sons room (4 yr old). I close his window and as I am taking a step back ( I did not turn the lights on for fear of waking him) I step on something. My heart starts racing cuse it was furry. fearing the worst for one of the cats, I hear:

Sunny day, sweeping the clouds
On Elmos way to where the air is free
can you tell him how to get, how to get to sesame street.

I stumbled out of the room struggling to keep from laughing. I got scared by elmo.

My wife and dau were talking in her room last night, and my wife comes rushing in to me saying, "Come quick!" So I go into my dau's room and they are both looking scared, saying "the devil is flashing!"

My dau got a little red devil teddy form a past b/f, and it was sitting on an old blue foam chair on the floor (you know, pull our Bananas-in Pyjamas bed thing). And in the street light coming in the window, with the stark red against the blue, it looked like the red was pulsing if you saw it out of the corner of your eye! They were truly scared, though! I had to explain the optical illusion, and show them how it worked before they calmed down.

Think my dau put the devil teddy in the lounge room, anyway.
