Mississippi won't help.....

In an evacuation of the most vulernable city on the gulf.....
.......
........this could be the beginning of another civil war.....

WHY would a governor let people who need their help not let them use their freeways........

Mississippi is gonna learn a lesson that they didn't have on their resume...... Are they really gonna slow families in their cars desperately seeking refuge fromm a disaster.......

Y'all need a new governor....

What's this? Not letting evacuees use the freeways? Well, I can sorta see some traffic problems resulting, but what the heck? Does he want them to just sit there and get bowled over?

ok more info needed... will post links soon,

the jist is that the gov of Ms and the gov of LA have had a disagreement over a long preopsed evac plan to use the MS freeways as an evac route(meanina all lanes heading away from the evac zone)

Now, if an evac is called for Ms will allow all lanes to go north for 30 miles.

The issue was that there were not enough cops/guards to take care of peeps, and the small cities could not handle the influx.....

I think the LA Guard will be there to guide the traffic......

Outdoors PURE BS !!!!!!!!!!!

When I came from dialysis at 7:30 PM, Interstate 55 north was flowing smoothly, with many Louisana drivers on the road. If the people would leave whenever the evacuation alert was posted, instead of waiting to the last minute ,there wouldn't be any crowding and need to open up the southbound lanes for northbound traffiic.
Sweet...don't believe everything you see and hear.

They can use the highways but MS won't make the highways turn into one big outbound highway v/s two way traffic. Seeing how limited the LA freeway system is, the move to help out by MS would be paramount in a safe evacuation.
