AUSTRIAN POSTAL SERVICE REACHES NEW HIGHTS
BACKGROUND: Tuesday, 01 October 2002, Vienna, Austria.
It is a normal day in Vienna, the clock's short hand points to 8am. A still sleepy ClubMed gets off the bus, and before taking the stairs to the subway, makes a slight detour to the Post Office. He walks up to one of the clerks and lays a package on the counter, the destination is San Francisco. The friendly clerk scans the package into the system and presents CM with the bill. CM pays and leaves, the whole process takes no more than 2-3 minutes, efficiency and technology at their best. CM goes to work, calculating that the package should reach his loved on in about 4-5 days, nice.
STORY: Wednesday, 02, October 2002, Vienna, Austria.
CM wakes up very early, 6am to be precise, showers, eats and leaves to class which starts at 8am. At around 12 CM leaves university and goes to the office, where he stays until about 4:30pm doing work. He then leaves, to go home. At around 5:15 CM arrives home, on his way to the door he checks his mail. Oh! A package has arrived, how nice! Who could it be from hmm lets see, sender: CM himself???????? But I don't live in SF! I really don't!

But in the US, they would do that, then charge you extra to send it on to the correct location, all with an attitude.
"We deliver............eventually!"

Thursday, 03, October 2002, Vienna, Austria:
CM is forced to once again go to the post office, and walk up to the same clerk and the same counter to resend the same package, Yay!. It seems this has been happening quite often lately, judging by the clerks reposnse of "Oh God not again!" (Translated from German). The only good side to this is that I was not charged any costs, there is hope.
I'll keep you posted on the development of this mighty fine achievement.
Yours Truly,
CM.
