OMG, I can't believe the stupidity!

I'm studying up to take the GRE, and on the "Powerprep" software came included this little tutorial

The only way to access it was by clicking through a couple buttons and selecting an option in a text box, which just doubles the fun.

Sam

And note, yes this really is for real.

I love that kind of instruction deal. Like the Compuq instruction booklets that tell you how to plug in and turn on your PC, that only comes as a PDF file on a CD!

lol... My mom is the WORST! I've had her using a computer for years now, but she's always really never known how to use it... I must be a bad teacher..

She's one of those people where if she wants to achieve something that can clearly be achieved with a single click, she ends up clicking like... 30 times. And the senseless clicking continues if an error message comes up. I just sit there shaking my head thinking, 'Why the clicking?!'...

Some folks can't seem to co-ordinate a double click. I had a girl who I trained in my job who I tried to teach how to use my computer (she had never used one before ). She ended up clicking on something then pressing the enter key, as she couldn't get the double click right.

At least she got stuff open, though.

Cheers

Hah! My dad and his wife managed somehow to get TWO computers in there house ( how'd THEY get there?! ) They are in their early 60's mind you. They are deathly afraid of attatchments in email ( viruses ) and trying to explain to them how to cut and paste is like trying to explain to the Post Office that So-and-So doesn't friggin live here anymore so quit sending me their mail! Aparently it is too much on the technical side for them. Cut and Paste! My 6 and 3 year olds are more proficient at using the computer than my dad. SHEESH! I couldn't even get them to figure out how to print just Part of a document so they wouldn't be wasting ink on an entire web page printing ( they are frugal, so you'd think they would jump all over that )

My mom has big problems remembering cut & paste, and she often double clicks on URLs. Besides that, she writes all new operations she learns, so she can refer to it later.
