backwoods airport security has hit a new low.

had some friends(married couple)over for cards last nite.

dean works maintainance at our local airport. its located at a old AFB near here.

one of his coworkers was checking bathrooms for cleanliness and noticed someone go intoa stall with a laptop. after he was done,he noticed that the man never sat down and heard paper rustling or something. then the guy came out of the stall and asked the worker how hard it is to take a laptop on the plane with him.

the worker reported it to his superior.

then laptopman is in line to get his ticket for a flight to detriot,and someone comes up to the ticket lady and whispers to her that he(laptopman) is on the " NO FLY LIST".


well,to shorten a long story,the guy was indeed on the list and should not have been allowed to board the plane, but was allowed to,so the story went.

i m going to watch the local media carefully for any signs of this.

Uhhmmn, so that person that told the ticket lady that he was on the "NO FLY LIST" was it some random personm or was it a person who worked that the Airport? And it doesn't seem that big, maybe he had somthing on his laptop(pr0n!!!!) that he didn't want anyone to see... maybe...

Since when does a man have to sit down to take a piss? I don't see any harm in taking a laptop in a stall with you and taking a piss. Has it occured to anyone that the "rusteling of toilet paper was that he has habit of wiping hisself off after taking a leak?

I don't think that calls for a "NO FLY LIST" call. Like someone else said he could have been looking at porn while doing himself thus the rustling of paper.

Sheez folks, As stated before I don't think that calls for extra security measures just because he took his laptop in the stall with him.

I would have done the same darn thing not wanting anyone to walk off with my laptop.

If security was a concern why not pull the guy off the side and ask questions if it was a concern then jumping to conclusions and sticking him on the no fly list.

Neo, I wasn't as concerned with the guy.. Iwas more concerned that although a person (regardless of why) that is on the NO FLY LIST was STILL allowed to fly. If he deserved to be on there.. thats one thing, but a person on a NO FLY LIST should NOT be flying. They should take him to the side and check him out and make sure he's clean before allowing him to fly.
The ticket agent, was having a dense moment or something and still allowed this guy to fly even though she was told not to.

yes,vass is correct. the feds have compiled some sort of list of people that arent supposed to be allowed to fly. this fellow is supposedly one of them.

They actually have to do this by word of mouth? You mean the computers are not connected to the database of this no fly list? This story lacks too many details at the moment to sound credible, sorry.

I agree with Club. Surely his ticket would have been rejected electronically if he was on some sort of list. Otherwise, why have electronic ticketing procedures??
