Sorry guys and gals

No I am not leaving.

I just got laid off yesterday so I will be shutting my PC down at night to save alittle on electricity. This means that UD and DDoL will not be running 24/7 on any of my boxes. I will still run the projects when the PC is on but it will not be as much.

The VP called me into her office yesterday and told me that they were going to have to let me go because they were not getting as many jobs as needed to keep everyone on board. I told them that I knew it was coming and that I already had my resume out to a couple of companies and had it posted on careerbuilder.com. They were kind of suprised that I had actually started to look for another job. oh well.

So just wanted to let everyone know that while I will not be running the DC projects as much, I will still drop in and say hi.

Take it easy, Korgul I been thru this. Just got to unwind a bit.

I'd also look at the classifieds on New York Times (www.nytimes.com) they have a huge listing in the PA/NY/NJ/CT area.

Good luck. It's always a challenge to look for a job and I hope you get a better one than you had.

Thanks shahani. This could be a blessing in disguise, the wife and I were talking about moving closer to the shore. Some place like Salisbury Maryland. This would be the perfect oppurtinty.

Does anyone know of a good job search website. I have been to monster.com, careerbuilder.com and jobs.com. Any others out there that you all would recommend.

I have over 3 years in the computer field. Plus I have an Associate Degree as a Computer System Specialist.

Actually, you are right. The correct name is flipdog.com. But many people confuse it like I did. So the company had the foresight to register both.

You're also right about learning something new everyday- whether in technology or human behaviour. I learn everyday on TECHIMO - that's the reason I come here.
