Building Solar Cells

Ok, i need something to do for my senior project. I wanna make my own Solar cell and make it power a light bulb. ANy ideas how easy/hard/expensive this project would be?

My other idea was to make a battle bot

so I guess none of you like to build solar cells.... what about robots, there must have been someone who built a robot.

No, No solar down here. My pop used it to heat water in the 70's but that started leaking in the 80's. Repair + Cost was more than the thing saved during it's service life.
