New wolf on the block
Hi!
I am Wolf Halton and I am a sysadmin in Atlanta GA. I am also a grad student, finishing a MS in IT. I am very glad that a search engine deposited me here, and look forward to talking with y'all.

| Welcome Wolf23!! Seesh, I almost thought it was that sneaky nephew of mine coming here, but he usually goes by witewolf! Quote: |
Look out for epidemic, though.
| Make that epidemic, shahani, and the rest of their gang (and I mean GANG)!!!
Harder
BTW, Caddmann usually heads up the welcoming committee and he'll be the one assigning you your new member duties!
Also, a word of advice . . . . . . . . DO NOT take Cadd's Cheez-its or Knot's Prune juice! |

Sadly for us all, the mighty Caddmannq is up to his ears in alligators, and as a result, we haven't seen hardly hide nor hair of him since he got all busy a week or so ago...but FEAR NOT, WOLF!! I have pulled up the sage advisory he sent me when I first wandered in, and as it says, one size fits all. Originally Posted by Caddmannq on Dec. 21, 2001: Regarding the official TechIMO one-size-fits-all ceremonial shower thongs:
I know that some of the newbie (err..sorry...novice) members have been waiting some time for their thongs. Unfortunately, with the current influx of 2500 members in such a few short month's Doc. Vette's offices have been picked clean, and the new ones are on backorder from our prime supplier in Elbonia. Due to the recent latex shortage in the Eastern European community, they cannot tell us when these orders may be fulfilled.
In the mean time, all novices who have not received their thongs may continue to paint their feet green in the proscribed manner (please see TechIMO tech bulletin #6604a "Ceremonial Foot Painting using a Lime Green Highlighter") and this will grant their entrance into the TechIMO Community Cyber Caffeteria and the Nerdley Treasures Gift Shoppe.
Members who have not recieved their official Novice Robes, however, are discouraged from dressing in a green Hefty Bag with armholes, as several who fell asleep after the Tru-Temper Hardware Endurance Test at the Equestrian facility were found burried in a compost heap TechIMO's "Orange County Cyber-Landfill and AOL CD Recycling Depot". (They were subsequently revived, and are doing fine in their new assignment on the Ultimate Members Roman Bath Grout Scouring Squad.)
Though all of these shortages have really cut into the action at the TechIMO Junior Member Community Shower Unit Gauntlet O' Honor, The thongs should be in in time to resume the former slap-happy event by Easter.
In conclusion: all novices please practice restraint when addressing Senior and Ultimate members, as the term "Hey Knothead!" will no longer be appropriate durring duty hours. In fact, all forms of address containing "Hey, **** head" are to be discouraged.
CaddmannQ
PS: Which one of you Bozos swiped my Cheezits from the break room? |
