It doesn't make us look good talking smack after he offered to open the door. We should prove him a liar before calling him a liar. If the inspectors don't find anything then we will be viewed as the bad guy.

He's lied/rescinded 92 times since the Gulf War. History is a judge. Can you believe him from his track record?

He doesn't give us reason to believe him, but at the same time we can't say "Let us in or we'll huff and puff..." then blow his house down regardless.

True. But in such situations, you gotta take a calculated risk. These guys are very cunning. And very intelligent. Have to be to survive so long in a place as Iraq.

By giving him time, the US will simply make him stronger. And eventually kill more US soldiers.

What do you think the weapons inspectors will find?

Ans: Whatever the Iraqi's want them to find.

Just imagine a reverse situation and an Iraqi Inspection Team comes here. What do you think they will find.

Nothing. Zilch.

Except what the establishment here wants them to find.

And the US has prolly 1000 times as many weapons of mass destruction and chemical/biological weapons than the whole world combined. But in my opinion, nothing can be "found" by any Inspection Team.

These things are very well concealed in very remote areas and camouflaged in a very tricky/cunning way. By the US military or any military in any country. You can't find a roadmap pointing the exact locations.

It's worse than looking for the proverbial needle.

The whole Weapons Inspection Team is a ludicurous idea in the first place and now Saddam is cleverly exploiting it.

I say he's stalling.

When I saw the short (16sec) spot on CNN of the Sec-Gen of the UN saying the inspectors were going back into Iraq, I thought of another news picture from the late 30's.

You Know, the one with the Chamberlain, British Prime Minister, getting off a airplane holding up a piece of paper that Hitler signed and saying," It is peace in our time."

Sure, I buy what Saddam says.

EDIT:Sorry, I was typing when U posted!
