Outdoors Why is Grokster so slow?
I had installed Grokster thinking it was better than Kazaa. But the download rate is exactly the same! My computer has a T1 line provided by my school, by the way. What's more, the maximum bandwith I've seen so far on Grokster is 91. Always. What the hell?!

Grokster is not fatser than Kaazaa. The only difrence is that there is less spywqare and less bloatware.

If you want to eliminate it ALL, get Kazaa Lite.

I get somewhere around 190 on my best down loads in grokster.

But why can't I find any users with a bandwidth over 91?

how are your downloads of the general internet?
I have a pathetic excuse for internet at home and I generally can't find over 30 so I'm guessing its based on your own connection as to how fast your "peers" are.
Are the actual downloads off grokster/kazaa?
If you're still getting good overall downloads it doesnt' really matter how they rate.

Generally when I download stuff from the internet (from websites), the download rate is at least over 150 kb/s. But when I download off of Kazaa or Grokster, the typical rate is under 1 kb/s. The thing is, these two file-sahring programs are the only place where I can download movies and music...for free
