Well we are disheartened to learn today that the one snake my children had handled is gone. We feel pretty strong that someone may have stolen the snake out of the shop. The snake was in his glass home on this shelf around a corner out of view of the register and it would have been easy for anyone to steal it.
We do hope that it may have escaped because that means he is still in the building somewhere, its a pretty sealled building and not many places for the snake to escape outside.
To make matters worse, the customer we special ordered the snakes for no longer wants it because they were a matched breeding pair.
So if the snake does not show up in the next couple days, I have elected to purchase the other snake. the one some of you saw coiled up in the water bowl. She has a cool personality. So I may become a mom to a snake. never thought I would say I'd buy a snake.
So she would be housed in my room with a keyed lock on my door and kids will not be able to play with it untill boyfriend is around. They will be able to observe him under my supervision only without handling. but the handling will must be done with my bf present.
So its time to learn about this cool snake and maybe eventually I'll loosen up to handle her myself.
