Tongue Twisters

My kids love toungue twisters and Im sure there are more out there than the two here that I know.

Post yours and maybe even prehaps some of you would like to do a "sound bite" for others to see how well ya all do them. No sound bites from here but maybe could get my kids to do it in a day or two.

She sells sea shells by the sea shore.
The shells she sells are surely seashells.
So if she sells shells on the seashore,
I'm sure she sells seashore shells.

Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers.
Did Peter Piper pick a peck of pickled peppers?
If Peter Piper picked a peck of pickled peppers,
where's the peck of pickled peppers Peter Piper picked?

These two are the ones I knew most as kid. What were your favorite toungue twisters?

Betty bought a bit of butter
But Betty's butter was bitter
So Betty bought a bit of better butter
To make the Bitter butter better

If a wood chuck could chuck wood
how much wood would a wood chuck chuck
if a wood chuck could chuck wood?
He would, he would, as much as he could
if a wood chuck could chuck wood.
----
Just popped up in my head,
I remember learning it in 2nd grade or so on that show with the puppet lamb and the lady... I forget what its called...

If you have your daughter say it it'll be a lot of fun. I seen 7-8 year old girls go nuts over it.

Another Version

Betty Boughter bought some butter
But she said the butter's bitter
If I put it in my batter
It will make my batter bitter
But a bit of better butter will make it better than the bitter butter
So she bought a bit of better butter
And put it in her batter
And her batter was not bitter
So t'was Betty Boughter bought a bit if better butter and put it in her
batter and her batter was not bitter.

...and one for Gilbert & Sullivan fans (The Mikado):
To sit in solemn silence on a dull dark dock
In a pestilential prison with a lifelong lock
Awaiting the sensation of a short sharp shock
From a cheap and chippy chopper on a big black block.
(I imagine it's just as hard to sing it as to say it! )

From this tantalising tongue twister territory: http://home.pacific.net.sg/~santheep/twist.htm

Neo, hope your kids enjoy these!

Cheers
Mick
