why did USSR and USA hate each other so much?
USA was capitalist and USSR was communist. they are opposites but that doesn't explain why USSR tries to spread communism.
weren't USSR and USA somewhat not enemies before WW2 ended? what happened?
there is a lot of stuff they left out of shkool

this so-called cold war was a fight for world domination
a) theoretically between two different political/economic systems
and
b)a battle for control of the world militarily
and
c)a battle for control of the direction in which the 3rd world
will develope.
now with the ussr out of the picture, the american way
is the only way for the so-called developing world and
the us has no miltary rivals willing and able to challenge it head-on.
>>>>russia would like to battle us for world dominance, even today without communism, they consider their neighbors like
the ukraine to be in their "sphere of influence."
but fortunately for us, russia isnt a match for us anymore,
+ they have lost interest in challenging us. yet russia is still a huge country with a huge modern military ....and they still
would like to throw their weigh around like a big bear.

Before WWII, the US tried to stayout of the war. And who's to blame us? We only had like the 16th largest army in the world.
The USSR also tried to remain neutral, although was really almost friends with Hitler.
When Hitler backstabbed Stalin and the US got bombed by Japan (Germany's ally), both countries joined the fledging allies (at diffrent intervals), who were now all but reduced to Great Britian. We all know the rest.
After WWII, the situation with the USA and the USSR deteriorated, Eventually, Stalin, with his new 'liberated' terretories, began taking states and created an 'iron curtain' across all of eastern europe.
Relationships with the US and the USSR dramatically improved when Eisenhower(sp) and Kurschev(sp) came to power. It looked asd if the cold war was over. But this time, it was the US's turn to do something drastic. A U2 spy plane was shot down over the USSR and the situation deteriorated to late-1940s levels. When Kennedy came to power, he found himself in a quite uncertain presidency. Then the USSR had the bright idea to park a few dozen warheads in Cuba. This was the height of the cold war. Armageddon came the clostest it will ever. There is actually a book on the subject on what could have happened had the crisis escellated into conflict.
Here's a good article on the subject of the cold war: http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/ops/cold_war.htm http://www.fas.org/man/dod-101/ops/cuba-62.htm

MY TAIL
--is equipped with Dr. DOOG anti--pull REFLEXOSHOTTE(tm) bionics.
Let me explain how it works:
Upon even a teensy-weensy tugeroo, a chain-of-events is elicited which can only be alluded to as :
Allusion #1) Tail-element dropped down sharply; this affords a four-legged under-belly aim upon said tugger using the trigonometry afforded by said Tail and said Target;
Allusion 2) Upon taking of distance, longitude, latitude, and stupidity of said Tugger, Tail-element shoots upward, creating an unobstrated backward sight of fire;
Allusion 3) This is where a meal consisting of 90% beans,5% fine-fragments of glass, and 2% grapeshot comes into play. No, this is not an arithmetical error; the remaining 3% can only be inhaled to be appreciated.
Allusion 3, Part II) Well, I think you are able to imagine what I am alluding to....
Hmmm....I would counsel against logistics, ballistics, and aromatics of Said action; it would be strongly recommended that anyone with a Tail-pulling Compulsion take up BULL TIPPING as a hobby.
The Bull will appreciate the Tips as he can then afford to take out a Cow.
