Had to brag

I dont know if anyone is into cars here like i am or not. I know Ritalin Kid likes his low lows but ima import guy myself. And i had to brag on my car...i spent 150 dollars on it yesterday for a sway bar, a rear strut bar and a ram air intake...its like i have a new car...with the 2 bars installed it just skates around corners like they arent there and the hp boost from the ram air intake is sweetness..and i also managed to snag a garret oil cooled turbo off ebay for 142 bucks minus the manifold which i will have to buy seprately.

But i have to brag on my baby for the little bit of cash that i put in her she shows a noticably increased about of performance.

For those that dont know.

Sway Bar: A sway bar goes under your hood and connects to the tops of your shocks and increases the handling on your front end.

Strut Bar: A strut bar on my car anyway connects to the top of your struts on the back end and increases handling on your back end.

RAM air intake: A RAM air intake replaces your factory air intake with a short pipe and a high performance filter allowing more air to flow through your engine. And not just more air but cleaner air. Its roughly the same as upgrading from 256 MB of SDRAM to 128 MB of DDR.

Sorry Had to
Imports drive me insane, with their huge tailpipes geez if you're to have a loud car, at least make the car have some guts like a 350 I dont want to hear an engine through a tin can sound

I hear ya on that one Vass. Gimmee the sound of a sweet american V8 rumbling the chrome off the bumpers over the Pint sized whine of a straight 4 anyday.

Not that there is anything wrong with enjoying what you have though. My brother has riced out his last 3 honda's, the current one being a 93 CRX. Quick little car, handles like it's on rails.

I'd still rather have my 65 Fury though. Cornering? No. Gas Mileage? No. Thunderous roar from the dual exhast? Mo' definetely. Neck snapping acceleration? It still hurts. Fun to drive? A resounding Hell Yeah! Positive attention getter around town? Yup. Still have it?.....just pictures :::sniff:::I miss that car.

Sounds like your having fun, enjoy.

As for me I with RedFury on this one. give me a V-8. There's just something about nailling the gas in a beat-up old ford truck (460, 4bbl) and blowing the door's off them little car's, and the sound. ( it wasn't just the ricer's that were fun. I got my share of 5.0's also.)

Yeah, she'd float down the road at 125mph ( it just got scary at that speed and I wasn't about to push it much further on a 35 year old suspension ). You know your car is immense when you can fit an entertainment center ( assembled ) into the trunk, and haul 8 comfortably to the Fair. Still wish I had her though.

Didn't you just get both front and rear strut bars to brace the strut towers? Sway bars are underneath the car, AFAIK. I'm not uber car mechanic guy so I don't have a technical answer. Glad you're having a lot of fun

What kind of car is it? Any pics?

I'm starting to lean towards that also...

The street drag uber ricers have nitrous up the arse....dont' ahve any times to quote but I know they would be a tough match.

I STILL hate any car that has more bark than it's bite. The 'generic' ricer with his monster wing and fart can, drag racing 18 wheelers and soccer moms.....
