Check this pic out....real or fake?

Apparently this pic is real and was takin by the UK Photographic society. I dont know tho. I HAVE heard of great whites (which is what this shark looks like) jumping out of the water to catch food (only heard of it in Australia). But it seems unlikely that the shark would just randomly jump at a chopper. But I guess ya never know these days

A fake... sorry.

The lighting on the shark is completely different of that on the Pave/ Black Hawk. You can also see where it was cut if you look at it closely in PS.

It is actually a pretty good fake though.

There was a thread here a couple weeks ago about the same thing. If the search feature was working, I'd get it for you.

Yup , fake. the shark looks like a rubber toy IMO. Nice piece of editing non the less

It is a fake, as the link to Snopes will confirm. It is a real shark though.

Also the fact that that is taken at the Golden Gate bridge in San Francisco. If I'm not mistaken, sharks don't usually hang around the cold water areas. I think the Ave temp of the water in S.F. bay is only around 55 deg. They prefer the warm tropic waters.

I was under the impression that their were sharks in the Pacific around the S.F. bay area... I think it was on Discovery channel about the guys that escaped from Alcatraz..

Oh yeah, plenty of sharks up here. Great Whites too. Shark warnings at Stinson and Ocean Beach are not uncommon. I think there was an attack on a surfer just a few months ago. Mainly the sharks are just following the sea lion population which hangs out up here for part of the year.

But rarely do big sharks wander into the Bay. And even more rarely do they grow to be 35-40 feet like that one would have to be if it were real.
