Anyone ever done those "at home mailing" jobs before
Im currently looking for a job (not easy or fun) and I've just been browsin the net (recycler.com has lots o listings actually) and I've run across soooo many of these at home jobs that say "earn $$$ more a week just by doin this this and this." They sound simple too! Stuff envelopes or process emails or there was even a data entry one. I dont wanna be a sucker but lord seeing it so many times in the past few hours just makes me extremely curious. So has anyone ever tried it? Or know someone who did?
Thanks

Im very explosive right now...BOOM! Very explosive.
i was interested in something like this while back, but they wanted me to send them money first! WTF i never heard anything good about these jobs. My marketing teacher said alot of times there scams and not to even waste your time with it
I have also tried to look into this during my lay off period. Firstly when you call them, they either want you to send money for some software or instruction manual or starter kit or whatever.
Or they make you buy stuff like the Amway/Quixtar con.
Flipping burgers at McDonalds is better - at least you work honest and get honest $$.
Wanna know the "secret"? It's a simple pyramid scheme (multi-level marketing, whatever). You send them $XXX amount of money, they send you a "kit" telling you to do the same thing. Where does the "stuffing envelops" come in? Easy, you gotta "stuff envelops" with a bunch of newspaper classified ads telling OTHER people to send you money so THEY can make money "stuffing envelops" Don't go for it. As Theo pointed out, scams!
They are scams, ive heard bad stories. Im also looking for a job and being up the freeway from pasedena (High desert) there are only half a page of help wanted in the local news.
One summer when I was really bored, I did send for this "info". What I got was a packet of small "ad's" with the instructions. The deal was I buy the ad's " bulk " from them, stuff them into envelopes ( that I buy ), address the envelopes with addresses I supply ( they suggest the phone book ), I buy the stamps, and mail the ad's out. Then I get a commision on any orders received by the "company" My immediate thought was "what does everybody do with mail like this when they get it? So thats as far as it went.
I have a friend, who tried a home mailer job, but this one was different than the ones you see all around the place. She got her job thru a local company, and no, she did not have to pay for the supplies or anything like that. I do agree however, that most of those home mailers you see advertised along highways and such, are scams.
you know i recently got out of the military and during my months of job searching i looked at a lot of options and i have found that if it sounds to good it is im sure these SCAMS work for some people .....im just not sure who....probably the one who started it
