Am i weird?

I see all the post and support for 9/11 but do we really need an annveristy? Yesterday my tv was NOT on for the whole entire day so i wouldn't have to watch or listen to the media talk about 9/11 again. I mourn and feel bad for all those who died and lost. but it seems there is SO much cover on it that im just sick and tired of hearing about it. Listening to MSN and CNN about "What REALLY happend on 9/11 verison 2000003773495" i think the mourning should been a private thing. the media has takening to far and by the end of the first week of 9/11 i was SICK of it.

All these people saying if you don't

light a candle
go to church
put some money into a organization

then your not an american

all these radio, commericals, magazine giving putting advertisements of remember 9/11 and then having having a HUGE logo on it. wtf is that? makes me want to throw up

Maybe im weird, i don't know. lack of sleep can do that to a guy

Weird is too strong a word.

Maybe strange.

Odd.

Different.

j/k.

Many people feel that way.

Though, personally I think thats like the ostrich who puts his head in a hole in the ground to avoid something unpleasant.

On the anniversary thingy, I agree. This is not something to memorialize. But then they have it for Pearl Harbor and other events like that.

Pity if it became a holiday and degenerated, as someone already said, into a Shopping Mall Sale Event.

If you're weird, then so am I. For me, it's like a Bizarro world version of Christmas: everything decked in red, white and blue, special issues of magazines, survivor reminiscences on the radio, whole extra sections of the newspaper -- only x more fretting days to 9/11. The only things missing were patriotic elevator music and preholiday sales. All building up to -- what? A speech by George W. Bush?

I'm not callous, I'm saturated. Desensitized. I feel cheapened, not inspired.

Marcia went to a wildlife conservation area yesterday to get away from the incessant drumbeat; she's retired, but I should have taken the day off and joined her.

my brother said something while we were playing Counterstrike the day before 9/11

he was like yeah they are making it feel like it was when it was new years eve of 1999 going on 2000. that struck me odd and he was right.

Im glad i protested by not turning on the tv and listening to mindless dribble of what the president was thinking. i have heard it so much before and everyone else has.

Weird? Yeah...weird like a fox!

(don't ask, I have no idea what I mean by that...it just sounded funny.)

Crazy like a fox is the cliche from eons ago. Don't know where it originates from, but it's from way before the Simpsons were even watercolors.
