I just purchased a 9/11 special edition magazine. Sad stuff

Just remember, we can thwart terrorism by doing what George Bush says:

Quote:
Americans are asking: What is expected of us? I ask you to live your lives, and hug your children. I ask you to be calm and resolute, even in the face of a continuing threat. I ask you to uphold the values of America.

Some crazy hippie is going to pull something stupid, and I would be incredibly suprised if no one did.

I'll probably watch SOME of the 11th programming, just to check in with reality, but other than that - it should just be (hopefully) a regular day.

Just Enother day here in aus, Only differance is i have to hire out a load of videos so i dont hvae to watch the memorial which will be on every channel.

Even our churchs are holding things for the people that died. Tragic it was but I dont see why this kind of fuss wasn't made over the million soemthing people that died in china

It could never be a 'regular' day for me, memories too sharp / vivid still,

But I got over it, and life goes on.

Or the hundreds of thousands that perish in the third world and in Israel/Palestine due to violence/natural calamities.....

Guess some lives/people are more equal than others to paraphrase George Orwell in the Animal Farm.

Not really. WTC was highly unnusual and happened on US soil, where Terrorism isn't a big concern.

Well, Marcia and I are having our 22nd anniversary, and we're not going to spoil it by focusing on something that we pretty much think about every day anyway. We're going out to dinner (as we had planned to do last year, but canceled for obvious reasons).
