Farscape, Season 5 canceled

I could not believe my eyes, when I read this news! For those who do not know about this show, it was a sci-fi show on, oddly enough, the Sci-Fi channel. Apparently, at the end of the bussiness day Friday, they decided out of no where, they were canceling the show.

They are asking that fans (and others), write (hand written, as opposed to e-mail) to the Sc-Fi people, and make thier thoughts about this situation known, and to let them know that the fans are upset (not mad) at the fact of the shows leaving the air forever.

Here is a link to the site where they had a chat, and you can read more on this, not to mention, get the info as to where to send your letters.

Farscape

and the entire conversation:
Farscape 2

Thank you for your attention, and please, help us save this wonderful show!

And the discussions I've found about this have only one possible intelligent reason for Sci-Fi canncelling thier flagship show. Seems that the entire network is in dire need of money, and that the cancelling of season 5 might just be a sale setup. Or something like that.

But this is Sci-Fi, where good well rated shows are canned regularly in favor of junk. All hail the CEO, and other such sarcastic remarks.

I'm going to write to the NY offices and sign the petition now.

Wish I could tell them just how I feel...

Well, they were stupid to kil Anime weekends (or whatever they did), axe MST3K, now they cancel farscape. USA networks should sell of Sci-Fi, they obviously aren't helping the fledging network. USA is doing great though for some odd reason *COUGH*movies*COUGH*.

I agree... the Sci-fi channel has been going downhill over the last 2 years.

I (live in Canada) watch alot more of the Space channel which I think is much better then Sci-fi channel.

Awww.,..you guys have an alternative to SciFi. For us here in the south, the only alternative we have are the TNN Star Trek episodes and the occasional SciFi on FX and TBS.

LOL... good ol' TNN.

We have it too.... I've had it since about 87 or so.

Space channel rocks but too bad they don't have it on DirecTV yet.

I guess its time to get my pen and paper out to write.
