Low post count & For Sale Forums?
One question is why is so many people with low post counts trying to sell stuff in the For Sale forums?
Would you buy anything from them? I would not. Why they post? I am not sure.
comments?

everyone has to start somewhere in the post counts....What matters to me is how they communicate and what their trader rep is...When in they are total newbies I make them ship first as I have excellent evals and a very established internet rep. So they know if they send me something they will get paid once it arrives and checks out.. If a newbie isnt willing to do that for me then I pass on the deal...Simple..

I can not speak for all of the people there, and maybe not even the majority there, but I know I have very low post counts at several forums b/c I only use them to sell items and to post on rare occasions when I really need help quickly.
I am always wary of low post counters, but I check references. If there are no refs, I may still trade or buy, but they must fulfill their end first (ship first or pay first). There are too many trolls out there to do otherwise.

Thats my opinion.. its the low post count and the trolls.... I've had a few bad relationships with buyers out there (them not sending money but eventually they do)...
Its a scary thing sometimes sending something to a person blindly without having the money.
I really am glad that heatware and paypal are around though.

New members with low post count, have the right to post and try to sell their goods, as long as they keep within the forums rules and provide the proper information about their _legal and allowed_ items beside their references (If available).
A seller without any refs might be asked to ship first if the buyer has good reference. So, it is a matter of agreement between both.
Being new doesn`t mean they are trolls or not trustworthy. After all, everyone has to start somewhere.
I see no problem here. | |

That is why I started this post is to get your people's opinions.

Hi Sixpac_XP,
Do you use PayPal's Reputation Numbers to help you assist in buying/selling? I was just wondering how PayPal fit into the equation.

Must admit I've never heard of that, Damon. Can you describe it / link to it?
Thanks
Mick

Hi mickwish,
Here ya go... http://www.paypal.com/cgi-bin/webscr...lp-ext&loc=683
I can see the person's PayPal Reputation Number when I send payment to a seller (in parentheses on the send money screen).
