Kids lost thread

There was a thread awhile ago, I think lost and found started it...
He had some blood drawn and got a hell of a bruise.
Was just wondering if somebody could find it. I tried searching a few times, and came up with nil

Went to doc and he drew some blood and left one hell of a bruise (green and purple is a bad thing right? lol).. wanted to see if there were any suggestions to help it heal faster lol. Maybe ice?

The usual first aid thingy, R.I.C.E.
Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.

Although compression in the first place would have helped, usually bruises from taking blood are caused by the punctured vessel being allowed to seep blood back into soft tissue, firm compression for about a minute after withdrawing needle can help stop this.
I know this last bit is no help to you now, having been bruised but bear it in mind for the future.

yeah I heard about that compression thing later
Doc said to put pressure on it, but didn't realize that was the consequences of NOT doign it enough lol

i can recall the thread vass, but I can't find it either The only thing I can think is that it was in The Longest Thread. I ain't looking through it, though...
Hope your bruise goes down quick. There is a cream you can use to make bruises dissipate faster - not sure if you can buy it over the counter in the US, but you could try a pharmacy. Called Hirudoid here (proper name is heparinoid). We use it for post-op bruising a bit, or when IV's tissue and the fluid infilrates.

Cheers
