Can you color inside the lines?

I can't... no matter how hard I try or my good intentions.
Yesterday, I decided the crumby brown light I got at a yard sale 2 years ago was killing me! Begging for a face lift, so I was gonna just put a couple abstract lines on the shade..

Oh why not use puff paint? great..

The last thing I know is I'm squeezing paint onto the palms of my hands and rubbing the lamp base!!

I acn color inside the lines, but I refuse too. It takes a special type person to color outside the lines.If everyone stayed in the lines, it would be a boring world now wouldn't it?
