Me and my friend want to build a "simple" robot. Something that can be controlled by remote control, something that is mobile, has the ability to turn, and the ability to grasp and pick up certain objects.

I make it sound pretty simple. Well, I know it's not - but I would like to know where to start, at least.

Any suggestions on what I should do?

There was a site I saw dedicated to homemade robots. See if I can find it. Was mentioned in a magazine I think. Give me a few....

Cheers
