I watch a lot of Bruce Lee/Chuck Norris/Steven Seagal moves...I can pretty much kick anybody's @ss because I've created a new form of martial arts that combines all 3 of their styles. I haven't come up with a name for it yet, nor have I tested it out on anyone other than my 5 yr old son. I must admit though, he doesn't have a chance against me!

Judo (Gentleman's way) is fun and very informative! But it takes a lot of practice and a good school. It is also GREAT for self defense, but not as good as a .45, .44, 9mm, etc.
A traditional school is better than typical American schools and these are v-e-r-y hard to find. Then, when it comes to competition, you need to decide whether you want to go USJA or USJF. (U.S. Judo Assn. or U.S. Judo Federation, I went with USJA.)
I studied under:
Tony Raven
Tony Ebert
Ann Stacey

Wart -- Check out Judo I think you'll find it interesting!
Just remember, in Judo, choking an opponet out is one way to win a match! I defeated Paul Charvet with a choke hold, less than 5 seconds after applying the choke w/foot sweep, he was out! (His throat hurt for several days and Sensei got me for losing my temper! ) Specific hold used: Harai Tsuri Komi Ashi applying Sode guruma jime at the same time.

BTW, favorite throw was Harai Goshi

Thanks harder
Also, I'm not that flexible...I guess with stretches and exercise I could becom emore flexible (??)...do you have to be super flexbile gymnist guy to do Judo? I'm not talking about championship fighting....but getting a real good feel for it so it could be implemented in a rough situation
