The character in the wheelchair is Batgirl after she was paralyzed by the Joker. Once paralyzed, she becomes Oracle and gets into tech stuff. She makes all kinds of cool gadgets, teaches computer sci by day and oversees crime fighting by night. The "star" appears to be the daughter of Batman and Catwoman. Catwoman apparently dies fighting the Joker in the same fight that paralyzes Batgirl. The third girl seems to have the ability to absorb all of a person's knowledge through a single touch.
Very cool. I hope it is written well, like Buffy and not too cheesy. It airs its first episode in Oct of this year.
