No not the brittany spears song.
After being so excited about taking a class on W2K (
see here I goofed up my PC again.
When I set up my PC a couple of months ago I set up a 2 gb partition and loaded DOS, I set up a 8 gb partition of W2k. I also have a 4.3 gb drive that I have win 98 loaded on. The 2 gb and the 8 gb partitions are on a 20gb drive. Well I decided to use this partitoin so I formatted it NTFS, when doing this it said that I would have to edit the boot.ini file. I did as instructed and all seemed fine. I rebooted right into W2k no problems. Well last night I decided to try win98, again no problems getting inot win98. I then decided to go back into W2k, this is where everything went bad. Upon boot I got the message NTLDR missing. Uhhhh oooooooo.
I grabbed a boot disk and booted to the C: drive ( DOS) the only thing there was a scandisk.log file no files or directories.
To make a long story short I grabbed my W2k Boot disks and repartitioned the 20gb drive into a 5 gb partition for the system and a 15 gb partition (NTFS) for file storage.
No tonight I get to reload all drivers and programs for W2K, reformat the Win98 drive ( just because) and reload all drivers for it. Then I can load HL and all the maps, models, etc...
It was getting about time to redo the system again any how. This time I will make an image of the drive so restoring will be a breeze.
