Long story. Epidemic has 3 dogs ( the vicious police canine type) 2 cats, 0ne chimp, a Goldfish named Larry, and a parakeet. Well, one day.....

I'll let Epidemic complete the story. They're his critters afterall.

I've got several cats, a dog, and a guinea pig (sorry, no hamster).

from another thread... perhaps cats are the most intelligent species - as their lives look pretty good to me - we do all the work while they -

nap, then take a post-nap nap, then eat, nap, play, nap, do some cute cat stuff, nap -

As far as hurting cats.

Does shooting them really hurt. If you shoot a cat in the head with a supersonic projectile is there any pain.

but that asside I feed and pet my cat and change it's sand. I just have little use for it. I would be happy if someone would take it off my hands. My wife took in this little ferrel cat tamed it for a friend. The friend then declined ownership of the cat. Now I have a destructive little hairball. Bleche.
