When women breast feed they should leave the public areas and do it in private!!!

Is perhaps the most rediculous thing I heard today.

Why is it that in America women should have to hide one of the most basic and beautiful experiences going? I do not get it.

When did breast feeding become a shameful act. My wife did it discreatly but she would have been dammed if she had to be pushed out of the room. I think women who can breast feed and bottle feed instead should go the the back room.

Hannity was complaining about this woman who breast fed her child and had it taken away by child services.

Of course she was a bit wierd even for my taste but breastfeeding an 8 year old. But is that child endangerment or abuse. Probably not in my book.

Unless they can prove that the child is being harmed somehow by the activity I do not think it is any ones business.

Heck I have heard that in many countries the breast feeding regularily goes on until 5 years old. Americans would freak even at that. I mean this is not like hardcore breast feeding either. I had a friend who freaked me out who breastfed until her boy was 5 . Usually when he was tired or hurt for consolation.

How about when women in restaurants are expected to take an infant to the bathroom to feed it!

I agree. It has been like only 60 or 70 years since bottle feeding became almost universally accepted in America to the detriment of children.

***** have more than the function to look good. They are actually for feeding babies.

But to take a child away from a loving mother for the crime of (well I don't know what crime) but for perhaps being over indulgent maybe!!!

The people who took the child away from this family should be fired immediatly.

Bottle feeding is an example of science gone a bit astray. It is maybe helpful for those who can't feed but it is now clearly bad for the mother and bad for the baby (at least not as good).

When my son was born I decided to breast feed him.
I went through 3 pediatricians until I found one that didn't say supplement with a bottle I would always ask why when I was told to replace a natural food that was exactly the nutrition he needed with crap from a can, and get the same crap response.. Well you don't want to be tied to him.. WTH?? Don't want to be tied to a NEWBORN?? What the heck are you supposed to do? Leave it in the garage when you are tired of it?

Now another thing my wife commented on the convenience of bottle feeding at night.

Oh yea that is so much better. Husband get up go to kitchen turn on lights warm milk for 5 minutes or so return to bed and feed baby for 20 minutes.

Or Daddy gets up carries baby to wife attaches baby and both go back to sleep. There was the fear of roll over but there are ways of preventing that too.


As for doctors who are too stupid to live.

They told my sister to sterilize her breasts with alcohol before feeding. This was a great Idea lets dry out tender skin on your body before abusing it.
