They have a couple of tribute albums out that are pretty good.
One of them has a bunch of people on it, from Willie Nelson, to George Strait, and even Huey Lewis..
That album is a tribute to the music of Bob Wills & the Texas Playboys. Bob Wills was a kind of music pioneer in his day, melded a few different sytles into his brand of "Western Swing". | desmo, I'll look for it.. reminds me of the album The Nitty Gritty Dirt Band put out years ago (20+) Will the Circle be Unbroken.
Actually they have another one out.. but it's not as good as the first AFAIC..
Actually I'm looking for stuff that isn't the Popular Country Music of today...
Hey do they have Alt Country or Indie Country How about some Industrial Punk Country LOL Quote: Originally posted by maface I like that country song about a dog, pickup truck, six pack and a shot gun | Yeah me too,, the one sung by a babe! | |

Anyone ever listen to Cledus T. Judd? He has some of the funniest country parody songs that I've ever heard
I also like Travis Tritt, Kenny Chesney, Carolyn Dawn Johnson, Dixie Chicks, Toby Keith, Trick Pony and Tracy Byrd.

Any suggestions? | Yes, call your doctor immediately!!!
Sorry, I just can't get into that sort of thing.
I must admit there are a few good songs, but then again, every genre has a few good ones...

Georgia Satellites for a country/rock crossover type of sound.
Not too sure about any others, as I do not listen to country.
