Pet Question
How much money do you roughly spend on your pets per month?

Counting veterinary care (~annual shots for the two cats), cat food, kitty litter, and sunflower seed for the parrot, about $50 a month. The parrot doesn't get veterinary care; basically, you have a healthy parrot or a dead one. (She's thirty-five and as ornery as ever.)

I've got a keet (other died last year)veterinary care much the same as a parrot. As for food a $5 bag will last about 4-5 mths. Some gravel for bottom of cage. Oh about $1.10 a month.

I have a Wellness Plan at Banefield Medical for $11.95 a month. This gets all shots, two complete physcials, and a 5% discount. Everyyear this saves me around $30+.
For a $12 I can get a bag of food that lasts three months. So that is $16. Add another $14 for other (flea/tick supplies, toys, etc.). I guess on average $30 a month.
Banti
P.S. One of my wisest investments!!

We love our pets. Thank goodness.
Two birds. A parrot and a cockatiel. And a dog(scottie).
About $60.00 a month for food, toys and vet care for the dog (annual shots and monthly Frontline & Heartguard). Oh, I almost forgot the dog gets his teeth brushed three times weekly. So, $3.00 a month for doggy toothpaste. Grand total approx. $63.00 a month. Yes, we love our pets.

Around $50/month, I would guess. I don't really know because I don't keep track of it. Rascal and Lucky get what they need and then some. I probably take better care of them than I do myself.

Our cat food is rather cheap becuase its road kill
Ok basically there is a small business in my citie that goes out each night and scraps dead kangaroos of the side of the road grind's them up freezes them then sells them. My cat loves it.
I think we pay like $10au for 20 kg. That feeds my cat and dog for about a month.
Both of my pets came from the pound so they cost $50 au all up

Well, lets see Rosie (white beagle) Prissy (collie) and Sir Issac Newton( mutt, no he's not that smart) like to eat, but Lowrider (chihauhau) doesn't eat anything, 2 cats, they like mice and the kids, well I guess they don't count here , somewhere around 75 bucks a month. Excuding shots, and vaccinations

Ground Kangaroo???? That for some reason, just , it's just...not right!
The equivalent here would be ground up squirrel and racoon, and maybe the occassional deer for that extra flavor.
I can just see the TV ad for KangaKittyBrand Cat food. A lowly kangaroo striding along the outback peacefully, just hopping along. Cut scene to band of housecats running madly in it's direction. WHAM! The cats pounce and take down the Kangaroo and go for the jugular. Close-up to orange tabby as it lifts its head up from the carcass, lips dripping in blood with text displayed " kangakitty....satisfy your cats natural hunger"
Hmmm, last I saw...cats went for mice and small birds.
