Systems Stephen P. Yokich passed away

Friday was a sad day at work, to come in and learn that our formal UAW-President, Stephen P. Yokich, passed away early Friday morning. He was having dinner late Thursday night in his home and had a terrible headache. He had had a stroke and was taken to the hospital. He was put on total life support over night until the family was gatered together at the hospital. He didn't have any brain activity. He passed approximately 9:00 am Friday morning when they took him off the life support. Here is a man who dedicated his whole life to the UAW and has made a difference in many of our lives. He and Ruben Burks (Our Financial Secretary) retired at the Constitutional Convention this past June. He was retired for only two months before his passing. I'm asking for prayers to go out to his family, including his UAW family. We wouldn't have what we have today without him.

Thank you
Baby

Our prayers for this mans family and friends.

May they (and us) remember Mr Yokich as the man he was. And the man that did so much.

I am a UAW member and owe this man alot. His work not only made my job as nice as it is, but probably made the job itself. The big three owe thier existence now to the union and Mr Yokich personally.

I pray for you and yours, Mr Yokich.
