I don't remember who but someone put up a link to some Australian site with this great picture of a 747 taking off. About 2-3 days ago. Can't find the link anymore.

The picture shows the aircraft taking off very steeply, its rear end almost grazing the runway.

I live at the end of the runway where the C-17's first fly from as they are built---awesome site to see them come alive in flight right over my home---its unreal to see the pilot crank them suckers into a left without thought to making passengers comfortable like the rest of the flights going over, havnt been able to photograph them as we never know when they will blast off even tho I have friends there working on em---I hear some extra loud rumbleing a few mins prior but cant scramble the camera fast enough as them babys roar overhead...fantastic...
That is some serious power to pull an object that big into the sky so fast. They look so graceful too. I can't imagine trying top guide one back to the hanger. I thought a semi was big
