SPARTA, Ky., Aug. 11 — Actor Jason Priestley’s race car crashed head-on into a wall at nearly 180 mph Sunday at the Kentucky Speedway, breaking his back and leaving him in serious condition with a concussion and other injuries.
Sad
Hope he comes out ok... they said no signs of paralysis yet ....

Should've been in a stock car w/full roll cage if he was gonna race inexperienced - I presume - like that. Often times these actor types think they can do anything (including sing...).

Heard today that there's no permanent damage. He broke his back and some bones in his feet.
And I'm certainly no 90120 fan, and I usually couldn't care less about these pretty-boy actor types...but in all fairness, Jason is a very good driver and has a lot of experience, so cut'em a little slack. Even the very best race car drivers crash, it's goes with the territory.
Saw him race the Toyota Pro/Celebrity race at Long Beach a few years back. He's actually very fast but not that crazy. It's an activity where he gets to be himself, not "Brandon Walsh". Hey, if Ted Nugent and Paul Newman can do it....
