mobile vet and 3 monsters

I just had my 3 precious monsters updated 100% on all of their shots and tags and preventive stuff. Cost me $250 and worth every penny. My mobile vet comes to my house and charges for 1 visit instead of 3 at a vet's office. Good news, all are clean of heartworm and healthy. The lab is in great shape with beautiful fur, cept she is 20 lbs overweight. The ol lady mutt (10yr) shep/collie is AOK. My mastiff/shep pup (2 yr) is a beautiful animal cept her head is real big, lol. This pup can leap from a sitting position over 3 feet and runs like a deer. She is awesome in protecting my gated yard. Recently when we were going through a drought, the neighbors called the fire dept on us (we were smoking a brisket.lol) and they wouldn't walk in my yard. I have so much love and appreciation for my critters. I did have to put down my beloved collie a while back, but it was necessary as the vet said. One of my most memorable lifetime experiences was when she (the collie with a stroke) was given the shot and her best bud stayed close by and howled after the injection. I saw the pain in her eyes and I believe that animals know alot more than we give them credit for. (not to make light of the event, but it did remind me of the klingon death howl as to how instanteous it was)

thanks for listening to a bit of rant and some feelings......

As you all have guessed by now, CE and I have 8 fur children. Several years ago, we had lost 3 of our babies in about a two week period of time. One of them, Thunder, died right in my arms, with this trusting look on his face, as if to say, "I know Mom, Don't cry.............."
